Common Issues

Connection Failed

  • Check the hostname and port are correct
  • Verify the SSH server is running on the remote host
  • Ensure your credentials are entered correctly

Authentication Error

  • Verify your password or SSH key is correct
  • Check the server allows your authentication method
  • Try re-entering your credentials in connection settings

Network Scan Empty

  • Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi, not cellular
  • Grant local network permission in iOS Settings
  • Check Settings > Privacy > Local Network for NetShell

iCloud Not Syncing

  • Sign into iCloud on your device
  • Check Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive is enabled
  • Ensure NetShell has iCloud access in system settings

AI Not Responding

  • Verify your API key is entered correctly
  • Check the AI provider's status page for outages
  • Try switching to a different AI provider in settings

Widget Not Updating

  • Force close and reopen the app
  • Check that the server connection is active
  • Remove and re-add the widget to your home screen
